Barnhaus is a printmaking studio specialising in water based, environmentally friendly screen printing of artists editions, posters and other paper based print, offering a bespoke service on jobs of all sizes, from an edition of 20 prints to a run of 1000 posters.
Based in Dorset, we print all work by hand ensuring the utmost in quality and delivering the unique human touch that only screen printing can. We are genuinely passionate about our print process and hope to work with you soon.

Our new website, launching at the end of 2011, will detail our services, expertise and equipment, as well as in depth information on the papers we work with, our colour matching capabilities and how best to prepare your artwork for print.
We are proud of our environmentally friendly approach to print, we use no harmful chemicals at ANY point of our print process.
We solely use water based inks which are not only better for the environment, but display excellent print properties compared to their solvent based equivalents, both from a colour, finish and archival quality prespective. We mix ink in house and can match your specific colour specifications.
We can source a fantastic range of papers for your print editions. From 100% cotton Fabriano, Somerset and Magnani art papers to recycled and even carbon neutral papers and boards.
Screen printing offers the opportunity to print on a diverse range of papers including coloured, textured, gloss, matt, metallic, thick boards and card. Through our various paper suppliers we are able to offer a wide range of papers, the majority of which boast excellent eco credentials.
